Angela Brandenburg, Insurance and FEMA Manager, oversees the placement of all insurance policies, which encompasses $1.5 billion in property coverage, and also includes marine liability, FELA liability, and cyber insurance coverages. Manages the insurance program for capital improvement projects and the Louisiana International Terminal (LIT) project; administers port security grants, public assistance grants, and the INFRA and MEGA grants received for LIT; and establishes insurance requirements for all commercial leases, construction projects, and professional services contracts. Brandenburg joined the Port in 2010. She served as an internal auditor and an accounting manager prior to being appointed Insurance and FEMA Manager in 2024. She earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Internal Audit from Louisiana State University. She is a Certified Internal Auditor and is a member of the Public Risk Management Association.
