HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR D; DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION – APRIL 29, 2021

The Port seeks a candidate to serve as Director of Human Resources, heading the Port’s Human Resources, benefits administration, and Louisiana State Civil Service functions. The position reports to the Vice President of Finance and Administration / CFO – CAO, has a staff of three, and the organization has approximately 250 employees. The Port’s workforce includes facilities maintenance personnel, including personnel on maintenance vessels, Harbor Police, bridge operators, and administrative personnel. Most Port employees are governed by the rules and regulations of the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. The Director works closely with the Port’s Executive Team, along with in-house and external legal teams, and is responsible for monitoring changes to Federal and State labor laws and Louisiana Department of State Civil Service rules.
